Help ensure food security for your neighbors by volunteering with North Helpline Emergency Services and Food Bank!
North Helpline distributes food to our neighbors in North Seattle three times a week, keeping over 1,200 individuals fed. Over 120,000 pounds of food is given out monthly. Our work would not be possible without the thousands of volunteer hours served here every year.
On distribution days volunteers greet clients, distribute food, restock shelves, and help clients’ out to their cars.
We have food bank distribution opportunities throughout the week including:
- Wednesday mornings from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm
- Thursday afternoons from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm
- Saturday mornings from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm
We also need help processing donations and sorting food on the following days:
- Tuesday mornings from 10 am to 2 pm OR 11 am to 3 pm
- Thursday mornings from 10 am to 2 pm
- Friday mornings from 11 am to 3 pm
We are currently in great need of help Tuesdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM for food sorting and 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM to pack very diet-specific boxes for our home delivery program. Friday mornings from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM for major food sorting.
To apply for any of these great opportunities.
